LORRY BÉCOT’S THESIS VIVA

17/05/2023

After three years of work, Lorry Bécot defended his thesis entitled “Sélectionner des poules pondeuses adaptées à des systèmes d’élevage alternatifs à la cage” (Selecting laying hens adapted to non-cage rearing systems) on 14 February at the Institut Agro (French Higher Education Institution in Agriculture) in Rennes. This thesis is the result of a partnership between NOVOGEN and the INRAE PEGASE research unit.

We would like to congratulate Lorry Bécot on obtaining his doctorate and for his work over the three thesis years. This work in particular led to new criteria being integrated into selection programmes with the aim of selecting hens better adapted to alternative rearing systems. Lorry has since joined the R&D team in a scientific advisory role and will notably continue to work on floor selection.
