During the month of August, Özgür Korkmaz, Novogen’s Nutritionist, completed a technical tour across Brazil, meeting with leading premix distributors and participating in a regional seminar alongside Novogen do Brasil and Alivet.
Throughout the meetings, Özgür emphasized the critical role of pullet nutrition in shaping the productivity and persistency of NOVOGEN birds. He highlighted that achieving the target body weight and composition, especially during the first five weeks, is essential for successful almost throughout production phase. He also reinforced the importance of increasing feed intake capacity during the second half of the rearing period, establishing the foundation for optimal peak production and long-term persistency.
In his presentations, Özgür detailed feeding strategies for each critical stage of the pullet phase and underlined the need to adjust amino acid levels based on egg mass output during the production period. Additional topics included the benefits of dietary fiber, as well as the impact of feed particle size distribution on laying hen performance.
The exchange of experiences was highly productive, with strong engagement and participation from local technical teams.

In addition to the visits with premix distributors, Özgür also participated in a technical seminar organized in partnership with Novogen do Brasil and Alivet. The seminar brought together local egg producers for a discussion on nutritional strategies to have maximum performance, persistency of NOVOGEN birds.
